WELCOME TO LYLE RUSSELL - GALLAGHER-HANSEN VFW POST 1210

Teamwork ~ Leadership ~ Commitment
As yesterday's defenders of freedom, we want to welcome today's military service members into our ranks to become part of our elite group.  Our common bond is the battlefield, whether it is service in the Persian Gulf, Korea, Kosovo, the war on terrorism or peace-keeping expeditionary campaigns. Your courage and sacrifice have made a difference in preserving and defending world peace.

Commander's Corner

Commander Mark Gelhar

Hello Comrades!

We understand the time commitments to being an active or involved member can be overwhelming. Raising kids, kids schedules and work eat up so much of our time.

So we are creating some "Work from Home" opportunities. Things that would allow you to be an integral part of the Post, but on your time. If you have any computer skills at all, you could help with the newsletter, the website, making flyers for special events, helping us transform current methods of operation into spreadsheets, word docs etc. Maybe you can't committ much time now, but you are willing to help with special events like Memorial Day or Veterans Day. Maybe you have a special talent and ideas of your own to help the Post.

This help could also come from Auxiliary Members. Is your spouse a member of the Auxiliary? Even if they don't have time to be an active member, they should join.

Please contact us if you see any opportunities you can help with. We need to create a volunteer list of people we can call or email when we need help. That doesn't mean you are obligated to help, it just means you are willing to help if your life schedule has some open time when we call.

Thank You for helping as we continue to grow Post 1210.

Sincerely,

Mark Gelhar
Commander VFW Post 1210
